History In The Making
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Stewart & Tate to build the Crispus Attucks History & Culture Center, located at 45 East Boundary Avenue. We’re not just preserving history, WE’RE MAKING IT! This is a monumental project for York and we are more than honored to be a part of it. Both Four Squares and Crispus Attucks share the mission of building a more inclusive and equitable future for York. This center will serve as a vital hub for fostering understanding and unity, from teaching the past to shaping the future. Empowering Young Entrepreneurs
In late 2023, we had the opportunity to partner with Tavon Parker and the Keystone Christian Academy to successfully roll out the first series of “Be Your Own Boss” for middle schoolers. The goal for this workshop was to open doors to possibilities that these young students might not otherwise see. It is our hope that with early exposure to entrepreneurship, their imaginations are ignited and that they feel encouraged to set ambitious goals for the future. In our final week of BYOB, we invited the friends and family of the students to join us as we watched each student pitch their unique business ideas. Three students claimed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes and everyone walked away with some cash and valuable insights into the world of business.
New Bathroom For New Investor
It is thanks to our wonderful connections at Fulton Bank that we had the unique chance to remodel this outdated bathroom and mentor a first-time investor. We take pride in nurturing and guiding first-time investors and those eager to embark on their real estate journey. We enjoy sharing our expertise and knowledge with aspiring investors and we recognize the benefits of personalized support every step of the way. CRDC specializes in manufacturing concrete infused with RESIN8, a revolutionary eco-aggregate derived from repurposed plastic waste. At the heart of this collaboration lies a shared commitment to environmental stewardship and community revitalization. RESIN8 is more than just a material; it's a solution to tackle the pressing issue of plastic pollution and the housing shortage here in York City.
We are excited about integrating this cutting-edge technology into our construction projects as it aligns perfectly with core values of adopting innovative solutions for sustainable development. Growth In Action
Justin joined Four Squares in February of 2024, bringing extensive experience in property maintenance and construction projects. His career began as the Owner and Principal Contractor of a successful property services company in Brogue, PA. There, he excelled in estimating and securing bids for various projects, fostering revenue growth and maintaining high client satisfaction. Justin's dedication led to collaborations on major projects, earning him referrals due to his outstanding work and professionalism. After his entrepreneurial venture, Justin served as a Project Manager/Estimator at a property services company in Windsor, PA. In this role, he effectively managed concrete and construction projects, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction through meticulous planning and resource allocation. Justin also held a senior maintenance position where he managed work orders, led maintenance initiatives, and coordinated renovations, resulting in increased tenant satisfaction and property value. With a background in business ownership and project management, Justin brings a unique blend of strategic vision and hands-on experience to Four Squares. His commitment to optimizing processes and delivering quality results is evident throughout his career, reflecting his dedication to excellence in property maintenance and construction projects.
Reviving Salem: A Brief Update
Joan and her son are enjoying their residency at 554 Salem Ave, adding a positive note to the neighborhood. 552 Salem Ave is under contract with settlement planned for next month. Progress is steadily underway at 556 and 558 Salem Ave, with a dedicated team working diligently towards their completion by mid May. Despite the challenges posed by current real estate market conditions, with fluctuations and uncertainties, we maintain hope that the market will soon stabliize.
Thinking Inside the Box: Branding 101 With a Twist
York College has been an invaluable partner of Four Squares since our inception. Collaborating with professors and students has been both rewarding and enjoyable, as we collectively brainstorm creative ideas to complex problems. In February, we had the privilege of visiting Dr. Tacka's Branding 101 Class, marking another chapter in our ongoing partnership. Our goal was to introduce the students to Four Squares and discuss our upcoming project. We believe this collaboration will yield innovative solutions and provide students with valuable real-life experience.

We are thrilled to share that the Go Green Clean-Up will see another year - thanks to our continuous supporters! This year our efforts will be focused on the Northwest neighborhood of York City. People of all ages and abilities, and we welcome families, friends, and community groups to participate! We will meet at Foundry Plaza at 10:00 AM. We will provide gloves, bags, and vests. Volunteering your time is one of the best ways to show your support for our community - please join us!
