Meet Us at the Corner of Hope & Green
Four Squares is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded $3 million in ARPA funds to redevelop the neighborhood at Hope Avenue and Green Street. The project, which consists of several phases, is currently in the pre-development and design phase. We are excited about the positive impact this initiative will bring to the Salem Square neighborhood and are looking forward to the partnerships that are forming to bring this project to life.
The buildings will be constructed using RESIN8, a low carbon, concrete additive made from York County's plastic waste. This development will serve low-to-moderate income residents and veterans, offering a range of supportive services to cater to their diverse needs. We have partnered with the YMCA/YCDC and Affordable Housing Advocates to ensure this project is executed with the highest standards and truly serves those who need it the most.

Floor Revamp for the Re-entry Opportunity Center
It is thanks to our wonderful connections at Fulton Bank that we had the unique chance to remodel this outdated bathroom and mentor a first-time investor. We take pride in nurturing and guiding first-time investors and those eager to embark on their real estate journey. We enjoy sharing our expertise and knowledge with aspiring investors and we recognize the benefits of personalized support every step of the way. From discussing investment strategies to providing advice on property selection, financing options, and market trends, it’s a privilege to empower those around us with the knowledge and confidence to succeed in the real estate market.
This holistic approach not only empowered the investor with guidance but also ensured tangible improvements to his property's value and appeal. We are always deeply grateful for opportunities to foster long-term success for our clients.
Crispus Attucks Museum: Opening Spring 2025
Exciting progress continues at the Crispus Attucks Museum, and we’re honored to contribute to this historic moment for York. With Stewart & Tate as the General Contractor, construction is on track for a Spring 2025 completion. We’re proud to play a role in this significant project. Stay tuned for more updates as we help bring this vital chapter of York’s history to life.
Neighbors Unite for a Greener Tomorrow
In late April, we were lucky enough to be a part of the 2nd Annual Go Green Clean-Up once again. It was not only a beautiful day, it was also hugely successful. Building on the momentum of last year's event, we saw even greater participation and enthusiasm from volunteers of all ages. Collectively we managed to pick up 154 pounds of trash and 57 pounds of plastic. What’s even more gratifying is that all the plastic waste was dropped off at CRDC to be upcycled into RESIN8, and will later be used to build in a more environmentally conscious way. We are extremely grateful for all the participation and support from the community members and organizations that helped make this day a success. Special thanks to Lindsay Wood from the York Water Company, Crystal Weaver from Commons Company, and Dylan Bauer & Abbi Jo from Granfalloons Tavern.
We're gearing up for our Fall 2024 Cleanup and can't wait to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones to our growing community.

Residential Project Spotlight
The new appliances are seamlessly integrated, the backsplash adds a touch of elegance, and the lighting has been carefully selected to highlight every detail. This project is where form meets function, creating a kitchen that is as beautiful as it is practical, making it the heart of the home.
We are absolutely thrilled with the complete transformation of this kitchen—it’s truly a remarkable example of how thoughtful design can elevate a space. Everything has been upgraded: the layout has been reimagined for better flow, the walls and floors have been refreshed with modern finishes, and the cabinets and countertops have been meticulously chosen to blend style with durability.
We were fortunate to have the opportunity to enhance this beautiful two-story condo in Regents Glen with some significant upgrades. The project included building a spacious deck perfect for entertaining and enjoying the outdoors. But the real game-changer was the basement transformation—adding a whopping 2,000 square feet of extra living space, complete with an additional bathroom. This expansion not only offers the homeowners more room to live and relax but also significantly boosts the property’s value. It’s projects like these that showcase how thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship can truly elevate your home.
In an environment like York City, having a secure, dedicated space for your vehicle and belongings is invaluable. This garage not only protects the owner's car from the elements and potential theft but also offers additional storage, adding versatility to their property. The owner was especially thrilled that we could utilize Resin8 in the foundation, as he’s a long-time advocate of more sustainable living. By incorporating this innovative, eco-friendly material, we’ve not only strengthened the foundation but also supported the owner’s commitment to sustainability. We’re proud to have brought this vision to life, delivering both convenience and peace of mind for years to come.
Building Bridges: Our Dialogue with the BDISBO
The Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion, and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) in Pennsylvania plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth and equity within the state. Its primary mission is to ensure that small businesses, especially those owned by minorities, women, veterans, and other underrepresented groups, have fair access to state contracting opportunities.
At Four Squares, we are committed to leveraging these opportunities to not only grow our business but also to contribute to the economic vitality of our community. The support and guidance provided by BDISBO are instrumental in ensuring that small businesses have a seat at the table, and we look forward to furthering this partnership to create meaningful impacts in our industry and beyond.
This meeting reaffirmed our belief in the power of collaboration and inclusivity, and we are excited to see how these efforts will unfold in the coming months and years. We appreciate the Bureau's dedication to fostering an environment where small, diverse businesses can thrive, and we are honored to be a part of this important initiative.

Spotlight on Louis Lindsay: A New Investor on the Rise
One great example of the mission of F.E.E.D.s in action is Louis Lindsay, a dedicated York City resident who has recently embarked on his journey as a real estate investor. With guidance from Fred and Anthony, who have been mentoring him for several months, Louis took the leap into his first investment. We’ve had the privilege of working with him to make improvements to his new property, helping him take the next steps in his journey. It’s inspiring to see individuals like Louis take ownership of their futures and pursue the freedom that comes with smart investments. We’re proud to support him on this exciting path and can’t wait to see where his hard work leads.
Updates From Our Mentees
Recently, we had the pleasure of catching up with some of our remarkable mentees to hear about the incredible journeys they’ve been on. Their stories are filled with determination, growth, and the pursuit of their passions.
One such inspiring individual is Jalil, who is currently in Erie, nearing the completion of his graduate program with graduation just around the corner in May. As he prepares to embark on the next chapter of their career, Jalil is excited to return closer to home in Philadelphia, with dreams of making an impact in the university setting. Their journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and a reminder of the bright futures that lie ahead for all our mentees. We also caught up with Will, who has been making the most of his summer break. He’s been working as a cook at a restaurant near his home in Maryland, a role he truly enjoys. As summer winds down, Will is looking forward to returning to York College to begin his Fall semester, where he’s continuing his studies in Finance and Public Administration. We’re excited to see where his path leads next.
Another individual whom we had the opportunity to reconnect with is our mentee Danny, a recent graduate of Logos Academy. Danny has always been passionate about trucking and real estate, and we’re proud to see him still firmly on the path to achieving his dreams. He’s currently working towards earning his CDL license, with the goal of becoming a professional truck driver. But that’s not all—Danny also has his sights set on real estate investing. His determination and drive are truly inspiring, and we’re excited to support him as he navigates these exciting career paths.
A Night To Remember: The First Four Squares Social Stroll
Our very first Social Stroll was a resounding success! We kicked things off at the beautifully renovated office of our friend and client, Guy, owner of MSG Promo. Guests were greeted with a warm atmosphere and top-shelf spirits, setting the tone for an evening of relaxed conversation and networking. From there, we strolled to Mudhook Brewing Company, where everyone enjoyed light snacks and the chance to connect even further. The evening provided the perfect mix of casual interaction and meaningful connections among friends, clients, and partners.
The final leg of the evening took us to WellSpan Park, where we cheered on the York Revolution from the comfort of a luxury suite. The energy was electric as we enjoyed the game, great company, and unbeatable views. It was an unforgettable night, filled with laughter, meaningful connections, and plenty of entertainment. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout, and we’re already looking forward to hosting more events that bring our community together. Keep an eye out for details about our next Social Stroll—you won’t want to miss it!
What’s Next? Take Action!
Join us as we continue to grow and make an impact in our community. Follow us on social media to stay updated on our latest projects and initiatives. We’re always looking for recommendations for construction work, so if you know anyone in need, send them our way. We are actively searching for socially conscious private landlords who share our mission of improving the quality of life for residents in transition. As winter approaches, now is the time to think about weatherizing and maintaining your property’s exterior. We're also building our project pipeline for Q4 2024 and Q1 2025, and we’re offering a referral fee for connections that lead to new opportunities. Lastly, we value community collaboration and are eager to work with organizations that need MBE or SDV participation. Let’s create lasting change together!
